The first ten minutes decide the next ten months
[Placeholder copy] Onboarding is not a tutorial. It is the moment a customer decides whether this was a good idea.
[Placeholder] Most churn is decided long before it shows up in a dashboard. It is decided in the first session, when a new user either reaches something useful or quietly gives up.
[Placeholder] Get them to one real outcome fast. Not a tour of the features, not a checklist, but the actual thing they signed up to do.
[Placeholder] Every field you ask for before that first outcome is a chance to lose them. Ask later, when the value is already obvious.
[Placeholder] Onboarding is a design problem, not a support problem. If people need to be taught, the interface has not finished explaining itself.
