Naming a brand people actually remember
The best names are not the cleverest. They are the ones that survive being said out loud, misheard and typed with one thumb.
Naming turns into a thesaurus exercise far too quickly. The real test is not what a name means - it is how it behaves in the wild.
Say it on a phone call. Type it on a phone. Read it at the top of a slide from the back of a room. A great name survives all three without a spelling explanation.
Distinctiveness beats description. You do not need the name to explain the business; you need it to be ownable and easy to remember once someone learns what you do.
Leave room to grow. The name that perfectly describes your first product is the one you resent in three years when you launch your second.
