How to audit a brand you are too close to
[Placeholder copy] Everyone inside the company can recite the values. Nobody outside can name one.
[Placeholder] Proximity is the enemy of judgement. After a year inside a brand, you can no longer see what a stranger sees in six seconds.
[Placeholder] Start with the artefacts, not the intentions. Collect every touchpoint a customer actually meets and lay them out together.
[Placeholder] Ask people who owe you nothing. Internal feedback is filtered through everyone knowing what was meant.
[Placeholder] Count the inconsistencies before you explain them. The explanations are usually reasonable and the inconsistency is still real.
