Cutting a day-long event into a film people finish
The hardest part of event coverage is not the shooting. It is deciding what to leave out.
A full-day forum can yield hours of footage and a single truth: almost none of it belongs in the final cut. Editing is the job.
We start from the message, not the timeline. What is the one thing this event should make a viewer feel or do? Everything that does not serve that is a candidate for the floor.
Pace is mercy. A highlights film respects the viewer's time, and a film people actually finish is worth more than a complete record nobody watches.
Multiple languages, one cut. Designing the edit to carry more than one audience from the start beats producing five separate versions later.
